Cookie Policy
English version of the Pivona cookie policy. The Ukrainian text at pivona.io/polityka-cookie is the legally binding one; this page is provided for international users and reviewers.

This Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies Pivona uses, why, and how to manage them. It forms part of the Privacy Policy.

1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a site stores in your browser. It lets the browser be recognised on your next request — for example, so you are not asked for your password on every page.
Alongside cookies, we use localStorage — a browser storage area that works similarly, but data from it is not sent to the server automatically.
2. Which cookies we set
Pivona consists of two parts, and they behave differently.
2.1. Marketing site (pivona.io)

Until you give consent, analytics and advertising scripts are not loaded at all — not merely not collecting data, but physically absent from the page.
Important, about the test. Your answers to the test questions are not sent to us or to Google: scoring happens entirely in your browser. Only an anonymised fact reaches analytics — “a person reached question No. 4” or “got a result of a given type” — with no link to you as a person.

These cookies are set by Meta’s advertising tool (the pixel). It does not read the content of form fields and does not know your name or email — it only records the fact of an action on the page: opening the site, starting the test, finishing it, clicking the sign-up button. The Service additionally sends the same events to Meta from its own server, so that one action is not counted twice; there is no personal data in that transfer.
2.2. The app (app.pivona.io)

These cookies are technically necessary: without them it is not possible to sign in to an account. Consent for them is not requested, since they serve the service you yourself requested.

Analytics helps us understand what is working poorly in the service. It is not used for advertising, and data from the planner, finances or client database is not passed to it.
There are no advertising cookies in the app — but one event does go to Meta. Meta’s advertising script never loads on app.pivona.io, and the app sets no advertising cookie of any kind. At one single moment — when you create an account — the server sends Meta a message that “an account has been created”, so that we can see which ads lead to sign-up and avoid showing ads to people who have already registered. That message includes: your IP address, browser type, and the _fbp/_fbc cookies, if they were set earlier on pivona.io. It contains none of your name, email, phone number or any data from your cabinet — including your clients’ data — in any form. For visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland without stored consent, this message is not sent at all.

3. How to manage this
In the banner. On your first visit, you choose: accept analytics, or keep only necessary cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser.
Change your decision here. The buttons below switch analytics for this browser. The choice is stored the same way as the banner choice, and applies immediately.
Or via a URL parameter. Any page with ?ga_off=1 switches off analytics for this browser; ?ga_on=1 resets the decision.
In your browser. Any browser lets you view and delete cookies in its privacy settings. Deleting necessary cookies will sign you out of your account — this is expected, and you will be able to sign in again.
Opting out of analytics does not restrict access to any feature of the service.
What exactly is switched off. Opting out removes Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Meta Pixel — that is, the transfer of data to external services. The pv_ft and pv_lt cookies remain: they are our own, are never passed on, and are listed among the necessary cookies. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, they are also switched off together with analytics.
4. Transfer to third parties
Analytics cookies are processed by Google LLC (USA) and Microsoft Corporation (USA); advertising cookies by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Ireland, with transfer to the USA), each in accordance with its own privacy policy. There are no other external recipients of cookie-related data.

5. Changes
We may update this Policy. The current version is always available at https://pivona.io/en/cookie-policy/. We notify you of material changes by email or in the Service interface.
